Residential Heating SystemsRadiant Heat
Radiant heating systems warm your home from the floor up by passing hot water through
flexible pipes attached beneath your floor. The pipes heat your floor which in turn heats
the air in the room from the bottom up. These systems can be install in both new and
existing homes. Some advantages to this type of heating are: There is more warm air at the bottom and middle of the room - where you need it.
The air will retain its humidity much better. No more ice-cold floor in the winter.

Traditional Warm Air FurnaceTraditional Warm Air Furnaces use oil or gas to heat up air, and then distribute the warm air through ducts. Modern Oil furnaces operate at approximately %80 efficiency to about %83. Modern Gas Furnaces operate at approximately %90 efficiency. There are also furnaces that can use either oil or gas. The savings in fuel expense from the improved efficiency is often incentive enough to warrant replacement of a working but inefficient system. |
