Residential Heating Systems

Radiant Heat

Coupon Radiant heating systems warm your home from the floor up by passing hot water through flexible pipes attached beneath your floor. The pipes heat your floor which in turn heats the air in the room from the bottom up. These systems can be install in both new and existing homes. Some advantages to this type of heating are: There is more warm air at the bottom and middle of the room - where you need it. The air will retain its humidity much better. No more ice-cold floor in the winter.

Hydro Systems

Hydro Systems also use hot water to heat your home. The water is heated using a gas or oil powered water heater and then is pumped to a coil. Air is passed over the coil and warmed. It is them circulated throughout the house. Coils are added wherever needed. Some advantages to Hydro Systems are:

  • The circulated air will be cleaner and not as dry
  • Hydro systems are very easy to expand
  • The same system can be used to circulate Cool Air
  • Your existing duct work can be used

Traditional Warm Air Furnace

Traditional Warm Air Furnaces use oil or gas to heat up air, and then distribute the warm air through ducts. Modern Oil furnaces operate at approximately %80 efficiency to about %83. Modern Gas Furnaces operate at approximately %90 efficiency. There are also furnaces that can use either oil or gas. The savings in fuel expense from the improved efficiency is often incentive enough to warrant replacement of a working but inefficient system.
